Parent Training

We recognize that parents have, by far, the most influence and importance in their children's lives. A parent of a child with autism or other pervasive developmental disorder faces many challenges and copes directly with the impact of the problem. Our parent training programs seek to support parents by offering practical information and strategies in a safe environment. In the home, our Behavior Interventionists work directly with parents to teach strategies for skill building and behavior management. This is an integral part of all of our Behavior Management and Intensive Intervention programs. Focus  provides each family with information targeted to the needs of their child(ren) and also offers parents periodic workshops on relevant topics.
